I used my Vagabond to cut the tag and then just “went with it”.

Here is my first tag using my vagabond machine to make the tag, leaves and leaf texturizing.                                                                                    I added some twine  (those who know me know I think twine adds character and dimension).                                                                                    I am happier with the tag now and who knows,   I may just add something else???!!!

I have had a wonderful Saturday with BG feeling better and playing with my latest “scrapbooking toy”, my Vagabond.  I have cut out tags and leaves, textured the leaves with Tim Holtz texture folders, blended colors on the tag and I’m ready to ink the leaves.  I’m still working on documenting mom and me in New England-aaaah!  What a trip it was and it is so much fun to relive it in pictures.  I’ve also been working on some cards with a new ribbon technique I invented myself.  I think it’s really pretty.  Enjoy!  My Vagabond creations are on their way!!

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful day at Kim’s house on Saturday.  Kelley brought her mom, Angie and Kim, Pam and I brought ourselves!  We accomplished so much.  I finished 6 pages of the  New England book from the trip my mother and I shared last October.   Six pages doesn’t sound like much, but “all the detail” takes a bit!!!!  We shared a lot of laughs and as usual, my friends were inspirational in talent.

I enjoyed a wonderful day with friends yesterday taking a scrapbooking class with Julie Fair.  We made a Calendar folder for keeping cards, special events, etc.  It was definitely a challenge for me because I just couldn’t seem to get it together with my cutting system yesterday!  I was the “Disaster Crafter” initially,  but with Julie’s help I finally got it together to create some beautiful pages of the project.  Some days are like that!  I was really, really tired when I got home, but after a brief nap I was able to converse with much more clarity with BG.  Last night I started reading a mystery book with an English flare on my K2– Silent from the Grave.  It sounds pretty grim, doesn’t it?  The reviews caught my interest and I thought it would be an exciting  fast read mystery.  I mopped the kitchen floor at 10:30 p.m. and that was definitely the end of my day!  Hopefully, I will be inspired to write something more thought-provoking this evening.

Current Scrapbooking Projects March 12, 2009

I have a special group of scrapbooking friends that I refer to as The Scrapbooking Divas, who I have the delight of meeting with once-a-month.  These are amazingly talented women and the best friends anyone could have the pleasure of knowing.  They have taught me the art of scrapbooking memories with style.  I have progressed from my very simple pages to some very complex and entertaining ones I am truly pleased at having created.  These ladies have also inspired me to alter several items, create several books,  and enjoy the amazing effects of inking, inking and more inking.

I am currently creating a board book kit of “The Best of 2008″, which I purchased from The Scrappy Gourmet and am adapting with my own style.

I am also continueing my journey of scrapping my thousands of photographs taken on a wonderful Classic Fall Foliage trip through all five states of New England with my sweet mama in October of 2008.

I hope to scan some of my pages and share them with you today!  Also, I will post some of my favorite photographs under the New England category here on my blog.
